ABSTRACT The theme of the report is Financial Management and Analysis. The choice of the theme could be explained by the fact that the author is to conduct the research for the Master Paper in the area of Financial Analysis in predicting company’s distress. This consolidated research could serve as preparatory base for the further investigation. The aim of the report is to present the essence of company’s financial base, its management and possible techniques in exploring company’s situation. There are three parts. The theoretical part describes the general definitions and provides the general overview of the theme. The practical part depicts a quick financial analysis by implementing liquidity ratios in the Latvian company. Report contains 16 pages. There are 2 Tables and 1 Figures. It has 3 chapters. The aim of the report is to conduct the analysis if company’s financial structure. To achieve the aim were the following tasks: • to explore the nature of finance; • to analyze financial analysis techniques; • to perform financial analysis using liquidity ratios The report consists of 3 chapters. Chapter 1 presents the general nature of company’s financial structure and depicts the main scope of financial management. Chapter 2 explores general financial analysis techniques in order to perform an analysis of a particular area of a company. Chapter 3 performs author calculations and interpretation of liquidity ratios in the Latvian context.
