Thesis Paper on Anabolic-Androgenic Steroids

Anabolic-androgenic steroids, more commonly referred to as anabolics, is the familiar name for synthetic substances related to the male sex hormones (androgens). They promote the growth of skeletal muscle (anabolic effects) and the development of male sexual characteristics (androgenic effects). In the past three decades, steroid use has increased almost 75% among adolescents this past year. I believe that not enough emphasis is placed on the severity of the psychological effects of the drugs, rather than the physical side effects.
