Sixth protocol first pant of the European convention of human rights- capital punishment is abolished. The Republic of Latvia has joined to this protocol, but still has not ratified it. That means the government of Latvia is not ready to decide about suspension of the death penalty. That is why I am going to make some arguments why the capital punishment should exist.
The existence of the death penalty is at variance with the human rights. I have to agree with that. And I agree that the existence of the capital punishment denies that kind of value like a life. But thinking about that people, who are brutally killed, we can’t leave unattended the human rights of the victim relatives. I think the human of the victim relatives are more important than the human rights of a violent criminal.…
