He informed me that on certain occasions he is allowed to read independently or with a classmate. When they read with a partner they take turns reading; when one of them doesn't know a word, the other student helps out. I believe these techniques are an excellent way to better the student in the future. It is also very reassuring that all of the outcomes for the techniques were successful. This should be a positive influence for educators, especially because there are so many techniques to try. Each and every student is different, that is why teachers need to take different approaches in the classroom to benefit the students as a whole.
I believe this article was extremely informative and important for educators to read. I would have suggested that Stahl and Kuhn complete an additional study with these techniques. If so, I would look forward to reading them in a future journal article.
