Raft was built without an engine or other metal parts, it has a radio so mens could communicate with the rest of the world. Others called this plan a suicide but Peruvian authorities and US navy supported Heyerdahl and his raft – Kon Tiki. On April 28, 1947 expedition left Callao port in Peru and the journey began.''
