Copenhagen Conference in 2009

In 2012 the Kyoto Protocol to prevent climate changes and global warming runs out. To keep the process on the line there is an urgent need for a new climate protocol. At the conference in Copenhagen in year 2009 from 6th to 8th December the parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change met for the last time on government level before the climate agreement need to be renewed.
Therefore the Climate Conference in Copenhagen was essential for the world’s climate. The aim of the conference was to make the meeting in Copenhagen a success ending up with a Copenhagen Protocol to prevent global warming and climate changes.
Governmental representatives from 170 countries took part in Copenhagen. In total 8000 people were expected to Copenhagen in the days of the climate meeting.
The host of the meeting in Copenhagen was the government of Denmark.

Firstly, most scientists agree our climate is in a state of instability. In the past century the global average temperature has risen by about 0.7 degree Celsius. The UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has said there's a 90 percent likelihood that the increase is due to greenhouse gas emissions produced by human activity, such as deforestation and the fossil fuel combustion used to produce energy and run our cars.
Furthermore, a slight change in temperature has already been linked to drought, heat waves, and storms around the world. UNFCC experts say recent climate and weather extremes show that there's only a "very narrow window of opportunity" left to stop climate change.…
