Considering this, nobody will be judged, if a law cannot apply to him.
Since it has occurred so, that much people have taken Christ’s belief, there have been formed many councils for [decisions in] all worldly matters, also among Englishmen Christ’s belief has therefore been taken by the holy bishop and other distinguished persons.
They have decided then, because of mercy Christ has taught, at least each misdeed that those secular lords must live with, except that first sin [Christ] has undertaken, they decide then. But, at high treason nobody dares to express compassion, for that reason almighty God did not judge any of them, nor Christ, the son of the God did not judge and give to death any of them, and that lord did love him so. They judged on more men’s misdeeds on so many councils, and on many councils they write every judgement with others.
