Conclusion
To sum up, we can conclude that, playgrounds are vitally necessary for sustainable development of the child for several reasons. In outdoor playground children can play freely and different playground equipment is important to children growing process and it is healthy outdoor exercise. If we look from more complex angle we can see that playground’s helps to develop and learn cooperation skills, relation building skills, self-control and last but not the least it learns communication skills.
Different projects are launched in order to promote and support new playgrounds in different parts of Riga, but the situation is still inadequate. There are still a lot of old and even dangerous playgrounds in housing estates in Riga. According to data which we gathered majority thinks that there are not enough playgrounds in Riga and there could be more in all parks and squares and there is wide scale of reasoning why it should be like that according to mothers and their child’s view. Furtherer more, situation in most of the existing old playgrounds was rated as dissatisfactory, although new playgrounds are rated as safe. It can be also concluded that it is relatively not important whether there is a playground nearby when choosing a new living place or school. …
