Interpol and Latvian Police

The word ‘’INTERPOL’’ is radio-telegraph code for the International Criminal Police Organization which consists of 187 member countries who have agreed to "ensure and promote the widest possible assistance between all criminal police authorities in the prevention and suppression of ordinary law crimes".
INTERPOL is the world’s largest international police organization, with 187 member countries. Created in 1923, it facilitates cross-border police co-operation, and supports and assists all organizations, authorities and services whose mission is to prevent or combat international crime.
INTERPOL in fact, is an international police organization to extend co-operation for co-ordinated action on the part of member countries and their police forces which may furnish or request for information or services for combating - international crime.
Some think of it as a highly secret organization made up of agents who have law enforcement authority in all nations and travel worldwide in the pursuit of spies and other international fugitives on the run. The truth is that Interpol is not a secret organization, has no agents of its own, but does pursue international fugitives as just one of the many functions it performs for 187 member countries. Interpol is in fact the radio call sign for the International Criminal Police Organization or ICPO (The ICPO was founded in 1914 at a meeting in Monte Carlo of law enforcement officials from 24 countries.
