The Most Important Political Issues Covered by "The Baltic Times"

Among all political events and issues I have chosen 5, in my opinion, the most important political issues covered by ‘The Baltic Times’. They are:
Crisis in New Era,
Mass exodus of Latvian politicians,
Russian diplomat expelling from Latvia,
Latvian diplomat expelling from Latvia,
Latvia’s new prime minister.

The most important political issue covered by ‘The BalticTimes’ is crisis in New Era, which is described in the article ‘Party members drop New Era en masse’. More than 20 members have left the party. As a reason for an exodus is mentioned New Era`s unwillingness to cooperate with the ruling coalition. Chairman Krišjānis Kariņš has given comments, arguing that New Era isn’t in a danger of collapse; on the contrary it is seeing an increase in party membership. However, he is not going to candidate as a party leader next time. Probably Solvita Āboltiņa will replace him (Kariņš). Although a lot of members have walked out of New Era, the party will not change its basic policy but will stabilize the position in politics in the future.…
