Problems of Democratic Theory

Certainly, the issue of the climate change isn’t going away. All of our life areas and everyone is affected. And three key challenges to European Union and they are rapid climate changes, unequal economic development and inequality with public goods. And if democracies will not do anything to make better people’s green behavior, it would end really bad. The results of the analysis in the presentation shows that green behavior in the Latvia is really low. There is need to change it – people should buy more ecological and environment friendly products, reduce the use of car and save electricity and water. There are, for example, economic development goes hand in hand with political instability because instability with regard to business and immigration are likely to deter investment and so hinder economic growth.
To conclude, I don’t think that these critics of democracy are not insurmountable, we just need to improve social capital, social welfare, economic development and educate the society.
