There are a lot of important people, and technologies that influenced the development of the PC but I selected the Intel Corporation with its contribution of the microprocessor. It was in 1958 that Bob Noyce, Gordon Moore and six other ex employees of Fairchild Semiconductor came up with the idea of the microprossor and to start up their own company. "One year later Noyce patented a planar process for coating a layer of oxide over silicon, which then led to the invention of the integrated circuit, it was a type of a microprocessor that made the computers a little faster."-cnn money
Nine years later, in 1968, Noyce and Moore approached the venture capitalist (people who lend money to start up new companies) Arthur Rock who within two days arranged $2.5m to start a new company they were to call Intel.…
